INFX 543 and 563 are specifically on relational database design, in which we covered planning database architectures, DBA, and systems analysis. Using user-centered design methods, in INFX 543 we designed a database to help the UW Medical Center Service Learning Program track their volunteer events. INFX 563 will go more into reporting and other advanced functions of database design. We primarily worked with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and learned about how Oracle functions are different.
Concurrently I took an independent study class to continue the work we did for the UW Medical Center, and worked on connecting a MySQL database through PHP to the site. Now I am taking a SQL Server Certification course.
