LIS 590 is the Information School's Directed Fieldwork class. It is similar to an internship experience, where a host site and the student work together on developing the student's skills and work experience. My DFW for Fall of 2008 was at the Washington Research Foundation, a non-profit company that works with companies developing new technologies to develop their business. Overall my goals were to learn more about intranets and information organization in the SharePoint environment.
